I think the Volatiles are done just right. And it gives you a real sense of progress. Normal zombies become very easy at that point. If yes, then check the right bottom corner and click your friends name to invite/join them. When ingame, press ESC and check left bottom corner to make sure you are connected to Epic. You must both be ingame (not in menu of the game, but actual game) Add yourselves on Epic and Steam. So until the end of the game, you probably want to avoid them. Your Steam and Epic accounts must be linked. But the danger is that if the fight takes too long, more will show up. Once you get past level 15 or 18, you can start thinking about fighting them. I found my night travels quite entertaining. :-) By the time you traveled to the other side of the map for your next quest, the night should be over. There should be a safe-house within 20-30 seconds of running. i tried the steam cloud save option but the page does not load up, the GOG option did let me sign in but i dont have the game on GOG so obviously had no cloud saves to. If a volatile spots you, just go full speed to the next safe-house. when you press play on the main menu, and go to the saves menu, if you press R on the switch version of the game it gives you cloud save options from steam and GOG. (This works even better when you get to the second area in the game, Old Town). The volatiles usually walk over the ground. And then try to sneak through the night to get there. I would put the marker on the next transit. I would then plan a route from safe-house to safe-house to safe-house, all the way to the safe-house that is closest to my next quest. Presumably a quest that is on the other side of the map. Then, when the night is falling, I would look at my quests. Of course you should do that during the daytime. Make sure you have opened as many safe-houses as you can. I just used the night to go to the area where I was gonna do my next quest in the morning. At around level 15, I started to go out during the night. ![]() You could find a safe-house and just sleep. It is intentional that they are very hard. Have an escape route in mind (up, down, down a side street, over a rootop, etc.) and know where your Safe Houses are at all times. The main thing to remember is to have patience, stealth and PLAN your moves so you don't have to panic and just get killed. ![]() You can also use the radar and just plan your moves accordingly to avoid their vision cones.ĥ) By the time you hit the second map (Old Town) you will be so OP you will just one-hit kill any Volatile that dares show his/her face at night :p Also, when running normally, just drop a flare at your feet and it will stop them dead in their tracks.Ĥ) Spam Survivor Sense because it gives you a "wallhack" of exactly where the Volatiles are. This will let you use the UV Lamp while turned around which will stun the Volatiles allowing you to get further away. Throw these around in a circle and make a perimeter if you are heading down to ground level to get an air drop, for example.Ģ) Get the perk that allows you to turn around while running.
